Memory
Seed in decayed matter did sleep
Fiery sun in heating waves did sweep
Wanton tears in flooded cavity did seep
Sapling through clogged circuits did peep
Sullied by passage, strands penuriously cheap
Ballasted by growth pains, emotions so steep
In new environs, from time's blight did weep
Yet the solid kernel's silted fibers did reap
Ingrained genes into light of day did slowly creep
Resembling yet distinct from nuggets time did keep
Tainting experiences from stem to bud did heap
But glorious hybrid into new world did leap
