Memories Restored
Astonished to see you before my eyes this time
Ambushed with inner pride inside, hurts like a crime
To numb the love in my heart tonight
To dumb down my intellect with your might
I had a dream I was writing a song
I had a dream I was feeling as if I belong
I had a dream we were right and wrong,
Brought into the light of the darkness all along
Memories restored in funny ways
Memories hit a chord in me these days
I want you to stay in my memory
I need you to stray from my misery
I can’t face the reflection I see
In this mirror of madness fury
My patience and radiance is my upper
My self-control out the window in a blur
Reminiscent, evanescent auras drown my eyesight
Pushed into the fire and ice of my ever-glowing soul so bright
To numb the pain in my heart tonight, filled with so much vexation
To shun away the aching, breaking and anguished shivering sensation
I had a dream I was writing a song
I had a dream I was feeling like I belong
I had a dream we were right and wrong,
Brought into the light of the darkness all along
Memories restored in funny ways
Memories hit a chord in me these days
I want you to stay in my memory
I need you to stray from my misery
I can’t face the reflection I see
In this mirror of madness fury
My patience and radiance is my upper
My self-control out the window in a blur
Faith desired in many ways
Faith restored these wild days
Crazed and so disoriented no more
Producing the pride inside anymore
Memories restored in funny ways
Memories hit a chord in me these days
I want you to stay in my memory
I need you to stray from my…anxiety
