Memories Can Kill

Fragile yet shallow, the times I sit in the waiting hours
Gently gathering dirt, while pushing my rocking chair past rhythm
It starts to creak, and whine its sound down my spine

I have been thinking, how my illness might fade
Digging my ditch, six feet deeper
I lost my smile's, in a fist- fight with frowns

Never could a seed, grow without water
Or could it? Maybe water will be exchanged for
My planters hand, wrinkled and rough

Made like the concrete, that stops the earth
I have inherited, past deception into psychosis
My wrath, made like venom it will leak

But first it shall course, through my spirit
Metamorphasis can destroy, and always allow
Change that I will never, see but witness

Others who have let, a past stay that
Living was a death, so was laughter
It echoed, the joke I am myself

I wish that I could vivify my comments to you and to all better. But I end up babbling and making no sense. So, I will leave you a message today letting you know I did read your poetry and I enjoyed it. I love reading poetry and the poets here are so talented. Have a wonderful day Shane. Love, Carol
