Memories

All the memories now are gone, told a story of us as one. As we sit and dream our way back, when memories were made, kept intact. The stream of thoughts go passing by, listing memories of you and I. When once we did instill and nurture, golden moments, saved for our future. Now we sit rocking in our chairs, looking over our memories's wares. Taking time, we'll contemplate, all our memories we've kept to date. I smile at you and nod my head, trying to remember the things we said. When we were young, both you and I, building memories we'd store on high. You lift my hand and squeeze it tight, our best memories were made at night. Also, the ones we built day by day, when on our knees, as we bowed and prayed.
