Memories
If we could have one lifetime wish, one dream come true.
We would pray to God, with all our hearts for yesterday and you.
A thousand words can't bring you back, we know because we tried.
And neither will a million tears, we know because we cried.
You left behind a broken heart, and happy memories too.
But we never wanted memories, we only wanted you.
To your resting place we go, the flowers are placed with care.
But no one knows the heartache, as we turn and leave you there.
