Memorial

he passed away
without a sound…
after all these years
we still listen to the
silence of his departure

Silences are eloquent. (Thanks for visitng my work: "Next to each other, towns of Queensburgh & Escombe (after Harry Escombe) in South Africa. The names hold memories of my first 6-7 years of life & schooling. The separation. Now we are reuniting ... if Jesus is center, we will succeed. We inhabit a secular-slanted world, Pray for S. So expressive and painful.. genuine is your capture to the silence of death.. and we "keep listening" to that torturing silence of "the departure" of our loved ones.. An amazing entry of pure feel.. a great delight to read your poetry, Paul. Best regards and blessings.
