Lin, interesting verb for the pieces breaking off. That's about as nice a way to phrase this as possible. It's the birth of a new era that will usher in a lot of pain for some more than others. For any of us with empathy pain will occur.

Good one! Indeed I have seen the effects of glacier melting since I revisited a particular glacier in Alaska. Very interesting!

Thanks a lot, Kim. I cruised Glacier Bay last September and they were smaller than I'd imagined.
