Melancholy Skies

On these days
With melancholy skies
I reflect on past things
That stir me to sighs

Of Lost opportunities
Or those dear ones above
Mistakes on mistakes
Against those I love

Gray day clouds
Like a mirror to reflect
Those past errors
Or things of neglect

Introspective views
Of things I’d rather forget
A vow not to repeat
To cause more regret

While painful to admit
In a personal review
Of how we travel this life
Give direction on how to renew

I think it's a nice poem although I can't bring myself to write one, even when I feel it. It may be a guy thing.

I understand Robert. Sometimes words flow for me and sometimes... nothing! It should really be a human thing, not male or female just written from the heart. Not influenced by the social stereotypes or judgement. Thanks for the comment and happy holidays!
