Rising from the recollection of a yearning,
Pieces of me, broken and hurting
Spoiled by the risk of a lasting darkness,
Remembering the past with all its lostnesssss…
Rising from the impossibility of a smile,
Whispers of bleakness, futility
Spilling over my longings, my dreams,
Memories praying to be forgiven their despairing
Rising from the ineptness, the misery,
Doubts melting into the remembrance
Desperation revealed in pieces of uncertainties,
Distrust, reservations, pointlessness and absurdityyyy…
Rising from the past, the ancient history of hope,
Where I once lived, tender and innocent…
Until the melancholy grew rivers, rapidly rising fears
Dark and dreading – taking my peace, replacing it with battles
Falling black, like the clearest night without a star,
The faded dark, filled with disbelief and misgivings…
Rising from the heart, though…
I soon found the remembrance of a hope,
Lighting the way, promising and praising….
Remembering the way through doubt and confusion,
Eternal faith in the One who guides the reason,
The One who abides and brings a second chance to sayyyy….
Forever – He is Alive – He reminds me why…
Forever – I will smile – Because He is mine!
