Meetings

Long before we came to the I do
Long before the moment we met
There were plans in the making for us two
Long before Adam and Eve drew breath

God laid out his plans for us to both be here
From meeting upon meeting through time
Paving the way so we'd meet up that day
Where I could love you for the rest of my life

Our ancestors all were kindly involved
Yours meeting yours and mine meeting mine
Where one day I'd be saved to pay the cost
Of loving you for the rest of my life

I sure none of them had or have a clue
Of my gratitude or how deeply I am in debt
Because without them neither I nor you
Would be here to ever have met

Wondreful loving musing Mike :) The opposite of a favourite poem of mine by Dennis Lee, the man who never was was because his parents were born years apart. You write of a great love, blessed you be :) xomo
