Notes About The Poem

Meet Me Under the Spring Boughs

The trees in bloom, fresh flower scents

Bluebirds aplenty are singing our song.

Allow me to be your dutiful love servant.

We shall glide under cherry tress in bloom.

Here, now, under the smiling,Spring moon.

'dutiful love servant' -- quite a rhyme there with 'scent(s)!' ... btw: 'dutiful love servant' sure sounds good to me... (Don't ask!). ~ gw

This was free verse, but I guess those two lines rhyme,)) I am not a good poet, I think. You won’t find my nose in the air. What for? Elena is upset because I berate myself too much. Cleverness is not mine, I simply am here to communicate what I feel.Everyday I ask myself, why keep doing this ……Pangie
