Image result for beautiful girl

I lost me somewhere in the map of my life, yes, I still have the same ivory skin; lips of cherry pink stained, but there is more pain in my eyes reflected. I feel that I could reach out and touch, the girl in the frame; brush my finger on her flawless skin and hair, I want to hold her to my heart; tell her that I love her and miss her, to keep me always this girl in the frame; but the wheels of time grind on and on. And with not a care, for aura's that years decay; I am not the girl in the frame now, and I wish to turn back the clock of time. And find this girl in the frame, that was me once upon a time; bring her to the here and now and be her, but, she only dwells in memories floating; and in a black wood frame. ___________________________ September 27, 2018 Poetry/Verse/Me, In The Frame Copyright Protected, ID 18-1090-207-01 All Rights Reserved. This is just awesome Constance... How many times each one of us would have felt this way isn't it... looking at old photograph of ours... they give us so many beautiful memories too, and one would feel like going back in time to 'feel' those moments of childhood... once more... Excellent dear Heart.... Hugs... ~ Ani

It is sometimes painful to look upon old photographs and wonder where the joy went, Dear Heart. Surely, many of us have felt this way and yet have not expressed it so beautifully in tender and touching verse like yours. This is a fave for me, Hon, as I have just looked at some old cheerleading photos and wished I had that energy and health again. Love, Carolyn

Yes Dear Heart, youth is that wonderful time of life which only the young are strong enough to endure.

Awe, so sad a poem, Dear Heart. An adorable little girl she was, but ya know what...she still is that adorable little girl. Nothing will ever change that, what's inside stays inside it's only what's outside that might appear different. Well written...hugs Charlie :)

Excellent and poignant verse, Constance. I was thinking it worked for the 'youth" contest as I was reading it! (if you called it free verse)
