Me and My Shadow
Greeted by my shadow each morning i awake
Never to walk alone with each step i take
A trusted friend to never let me stray
Greeted by my shadow day after day
Here in my footsteps carrying me through
If i happen to stumble my friend stumbles to
Stopping to smell a rose it patiently waits for me
Where ever i am my shadow is bound to be
Watching over me to see that i am okay
A forever companion that will never walk away
