Me and My Jeans

Saturday mornings I love
opened the screen door
to spy on the sky no
clouds wiping sleep from
my eyes.

Breathing in the fall air
filling up on the crispness
a day for a walk and time
to unwind to take in the
fall muse and just to
be loose.

Throwing on my favorite
jeans they hug but not
to much they just feel
worn and comfortable to
touch.

Tossing my brown long
hair in the sweeping of
 my brush quieting the hush
to an anxious spirit.
One that is ready
to explore.

Pulling on a sweater
 for the coolness of
morning air and slipping
into my old loafers
ready to see what
is in store.

I open the door
and eye the sidewalk.
My spirit inside begins
to talk decisions on
where to go this new
Saturday.

With no stain on the
 walkway what a day
no rain in the forecast
just a beautiful fall
morning.

In my blue jeans
and my loafers I head
down the sidewalk
taking in the day
it is a lazy and peaceful
one and tranquility
is on the way.

My favorite day and time
is Saturdays alone
when I can refresh
and move in the moments
at hand,

Missing My Fall Saturdays here inside and snow on sidewalk. :)
