Me - a Myriad of Color
If I was painted blue
would that make me human too?
My eyes are hazel
my hair is brown
my skin, ooh my skin
I wonder what color
I can paint it today
I wonder will that take away
from the person that I am
will it make me less human?
What if I chose red?
I wonder who decided
that I’d be a lesser individual
according to color?
Life would be dull
without the differences
life would be dull
without change
this is my color today…
This is me in all my glory
embracing every curve
red, blue, black, white or brown
in the end it is just a color
it does not determine who I AM!!
