Mcdonald's Only Serve Sausage and Egg Mcmuffins Up Until Half Past Ten

We’re watching Saturday
Morning cookery
On TV; wide-eyed
Amateurs impressing
Mock-military judges
With parcels and fools
And baskets and coulis
And ganaches and jus.
My wife likes a recipe
And asks me to record
It for posterity and for dinner.
But I couldn’t care less
About eggs julienne
Because it’s coming up
To half past ten
And my head is screaming
“Run for the muffin!
Run for the muffin!”

oh I love it: run for the muffin. You know you can make those at your home!! You butter muffins sliced in half and get them toasty in the oven and then fry some eggs and crisp bacon as you are melting cheese on the muffins in the oven. Put it all together. YUM.

Hi Andrea, thanks. Sounds tasty!! Wish modern technology allowed us to send muffins over the internet ... :)

made me giggle and head for the cookery book. I'd personally run the other way from Mcdonalds and the thought of a mcmuffin but each to their own. (and its 15 miles away to get there lol) Happy reading and writing Jan

Hi Jan - thanks for reading!! Yes they're pretty horrible things really ... but unfortunately Ronald got me at a tender age and now it's hard to shake the habit :)
