Sacrifice was a horrible ritual that was practiced by many cultures so long ago. Your poem brought chills to my skin. Excellent use of the Ethree form Tom. Congratulations on your top win! xxoo

Thank you very much Mohan, it must have been horrendous back then and I suppose many would have resorted to canabalism when any food they had ran out. Tom

This is absolutely stunning Tom! Love how your muse progresses with the mystery in every line of the Etheree and reveals a layer to converge with the conclusion at the end. Congratulations on your win. Blessings :)

Brilliant rendering of a double etheree, Tom. Captivating in both aesthetic and as a tale of dark discovery. Nothing gives me the yips more than the thought of being buried alive, I pity the poor ones who had to endure that terror. Loved your poem thought, and I congratulate your hard earned 1st place victory ~ John

Thank you very much John, those poor servants buried with their leaders to look after them in the afterlife, I bet many turned to canabalism. Tom

Thank you W. W. Glad you liked it, a bit tricky having to use all ten words was hoping to squeeze them in one etheree, but struggled, so used two. Tom

Thanks SO. It's a fictional write. They found his burial site under a car park in Leicester, apparently he wasn't as bad as Shakespeare would have you believe. But it did solve the mystery of what happened to him. Tom
