Maybe the Light Will Find Me
The apocalypse has begun
The abyss of never ending black
Is claiming it's victims
Maybe I'll be next
It creeps up on you
You won't even tell that
It's swallowed you whole
Maybe you'll be the next one it seeks
The abyss reeks of desperation
From the desperate people that want to be saved
They can't save themselves
I have yet to know what that feels like
The abyss has its wicked ways
It'll make you trip
And fall right in its place
Some spots are more gray than black
That's the only light I see
Falling deeper and deeper in
I now see why the others reek
Of desperation
I have too blended in with it
Though there is one settle difference
Between all of them and me
I know I'm on my own
And no one will come to my rescue
All I can do is fall deeper and deeper
Hopelessly wait for the light
To kiss my face again
Wait for a miracle to happen
It if I just stay here waiting
For the light to shine
For the abyss to just spit me out
Will anything happen?
