May It Be The Fullness Of Time
Without you, my life's blood would freeze—
If I could not feel the plant of your blossoming seed.
I know that time has voided the way
For you and me, to separate—
Your budding in my heart says elsewise.
We seem to be more near by that rose white.
You long ago placed that seed, within me—
Now it grows back to you, in my need.
I watch with starving eyes the beauty of it in you—
Thank God for letting me love you.
If you do clip this bloom, return—
Know it will pine for you every season's turn.
