Max Learns from Science Class
Max, my seven-year-old grandson had science class for the first time.
He reported at supper that the sun is a star.
His older sisters poked fun of him, thinking he was nuts
He was not nuts or wrong, the sun is a star.
The next day at breakfast he gave them a few more tidbits.
The planets are clumps of matter, he told them
One of his sisters rolled her eyes.
The other one paid attention.
His delivery was better than her monotone earth science teacher.
And she knew a test was coming up.
