Congratulations on your win. I guess we are both just too literary for math.

Had to look up 'Mandlebrot set'. I do not recall that in any math class I ever took. Good luck with the contest.

Perfectly done Pleiades, friend. Mandelbrot set? Wow! Haven't heard that in 50 years, methinks. When the teacher promised that I NEED to know that... lying! And I'm an engineer, haha! Great poem, GL

lol, don't tell Joseph, but I did the same with my physics one, teehee! I took physics in high school and college but barely passed. Now I remember so very little. I love your sense of fun.

Your muse is skilled in the art of literature, and thumbs her nose at math. hmmm... can one 'thumb' a nose? Your 7 lines of six syllables each equals 42 in total...I think. Silliness aside, it's a good pleiades, Jan.

But finding 10% of anything is something every child can do .....but math skills seem to deteriorate rapidly among the elderly who frequently hold out an hand of change knowing it is money, but not its worth! Aloha! Rico
