Mastering Desires

Dark skies - gather
A warm breeze rolls in
Disruption; atmospheric pressure
Desires; humanity’s troubled sins

Perceptions illicit emotions
Thoughts; heat - rising in the mind
Ancient - safety mechanism
Born; important for the time

Survival was imperative
Consumption; modern times all in vain
The conscious creature’s dilemma
Awareness; somethings driving us insane

Blind drives…
Natures blessing - society’s pain
The instinctual beast
Twisted; we’re one in the same

What God joined together
Man can’t tear apart
A primitive brain
Consciousness; the human heart part

Mastering desires
Discerning the thoughts
Cravings diminish
Tranquility’s what sought

The drives are within us
Acceptance; a warm breeze of glory and pain
Adaptation via atmospheric pressure
Unsettled; man still remains
