Masquerade

Words hidden behind hands Whispers of me Of who I am Who I want to be Who I will be But I can see Past those jealous eyes Twinkling with Jealousy Please just go away Those souls Hidden by their mask Mask of Who I want to be Who I will be My masquerade Which swirls with hidden intent The ghosts of me Are haunting Wanting to rip the mask off our face The ghosts Of who I am Of who I could have been Of who I will be My mask Bejeweled With humor With popularity With smiles Smokes from the lies The lies that shackle me to them The majority The minority The mask My mask Their mask Please just go away Fold by Fold of the Mask Shows her Shows him Where am I? I wear the mask Their mask
