I’ve learned how to live with pain Accepting all its torture Forgetting about happiness And all that it could cure I guess as time goes by Changes occur in your beliefs No longer remembering what did exist Is where you find relief Covered up by many smiles Now a smile is all that anybody knows Happiness is not in the picture Yet, the sadness never shows To become a face that brightens The day of people that you see Takes away from all the darkness This temporarily sets me free
