Martin Luther King was A man of words He stirred your emotions And you wanted to be heard He inspired me To fight for what I want And not give up When others tell me don’t You inspired me oh yell Bringing my feelings out You tried me In life we all are Considered as one Our colors are combine It’s considered a job well-done Put your emotions On the back burner Be all you can be Fighting for your rights is nocturnal You inspired me oh yell Bringing my feelings out You tried me

Hi Daisy, Martin Luther King was good choice. He stood up for equality and wanted all to get along. He promoted love and instead of hate. As you can see, I liked him too. Congratulations on your HM. Have a wonderful day:-) Alexis

Congratulations Daisy on your honorable placement in the Ode for a Leader or Politician Past or Present contest. I enjoyed your poem, it is very well written, makes good use of form and seems go sing, but I am afraid you got bitten by the 20 line limit rule. Thanks for entering, I enjoyed reading it.
