Martians Looking For Work

Martians Looking For Work

I’m not insane! Martians scream out to be released
My boss does not believe me
He’s insane
I want a large raise…promotion….and his job….right now!
I tell my boss everything, including
You know…. About the alien invasion outside
He only listens to his watch. (It’s never wrong.)
He’s out to lunch forever
Martians spin in purple metallic euphoria like tops
They’re at the door right now
They’re at the manager’s heels and hungry
Looking for my job
They’d better learn our language!
They’d better have their papers!
They’re not getting mine!
Martians scream out to be released
I show them the unemployment line
