Mars

On the planet Mars

red dust covers the surface

we perceive as red.

----------------

Planet of dry dust

life probably did exist

in past centuries.

-------------------

Dry deserted place

no life is sustainable

the air is to thin.

---------------

One of the planets

in our milky way system

closest to our earth.

The mystery of Mars, and it's life from a long lost past. Will we ever know why it's life didn't last. The answers are always out there, like everything else it just takes time. Maybe I should tell you why, and put it into rhyme. Wonderful Haiku series Phyllis. Have a lovely Sunday....:)

Nice set of haiku poems. However, our planets are located in the Solar System and the Milky Way is the galaxy where our sun (aka "Sol") is located.
