Marriage
White tide, long crimson wake and sea and earth and bluey sky
her lips glow scarlet, cheeks grow rosey, like the petals she passes by,
bated breath, hands and feet sturdy but trembling he waits
wishful, hopeful, and weathering his storm,
she parts her sea, red, like stolen kisses
a dream and life wait strong in the light of the bulbs, sun, and sparkling eyes
watching, searching, in the moment that seems to last for ever pass them by
to be wed and fed, kept and bred, nearly cheek to cheek they stand
to be knelt in front of friend and family, god and every other man
to be judged and loved, and forwardly helped through the good times and the bad
they bless the band that lay resting solidly shining on eachothers hand
