Marriage

MARRIAGE – short version Ah togetherness Can be a joy or a HELL! It’s he she me thee And one must predominate Which one is the Collie dog? Talk about money The stuff no one has enough Can break a friendship Can screw up a marriage There’s my money her money Let’s talk about sex Can be a joy or a HELL! “I have a headache” Home late – “I had a flat tire” The fat lawyer sits and waits

Too late? I should hope not. Both my brother and my sister had divorces. My marriage has lasted 60 years come October. LOve, daver

Dear Daver, missed this one while I was on vacation. Marriages can lead us to heaven or hell. It sounds like this one is headed to divorce court. That's where the money issues really add to the pain of a breakup. Had to chuckle at the "headache" and "flat tire" excuses. Your style is so unique and inventive. Thanks for reading Footprints. Just wanted to remind folks that children absorb some qualities from their parents, but I didn't share my father's music taste either. Love, Carolyn

yes it should be ours, no mine or yours, if most marriages gave 100 per cent and more, there would be less marriages broken up. and the lawyer is the one who wins. love the first stanza and last line.

I guess that about wraps it up, Daver! Sign on the dotted line and leave a space for the fat lawyer. haha. I told my wife the epitaph I want on my head stone if we can afford it is " YES DEAR"

Moody music happening in this write, Daver! Money can be the turning point of nuptial bliss. A love boat that can right itself, or sink. "The fat lawyer" will have no worries. Thanks a bunch for your super kind comments. Thought of that poem today; ships were signalling each other on the channel. Tubas in the fog. Hope all's well with you!! Best wishes, Love, Mikki
