Marriage

Marriage is not dollars and dimes
Not beauty that is skin deep

But
Two hearts joined together
Holding hands

Journeying
Through
Sunny days
And
Stormy nights

With
Gratitude
In their hearts

Knowing
They are journeying
Together

On
This planet
Call the Earth

Even
For a twinkling
Of an eye

Hi-Dong, I enjoy reading your philosophical poems. Now I'll move on to one of your books 'Shattered by the Wars: But Sustained by Love'. Interesting to learn from one who is educated formally and through living. I hope it was all worth the journey. -Richard

This is beautifully penned, Hi-Dong. Holding hands would make a fitting symbol for what most characterizes a lasting marriage Thank you! Best wishes, Gershon
