Marilyn
Fronting for a battle,
a tug of war...
you would find,
within your mind!
Hauntings from the past,
and all the mood swings...
that would last,
in time.
If only to explain
that never-ending pain...
And being in despair,
no one was really there.
To comprehend
the hand...
that came your way,
living day to day.
And in Manhatten for a while,
perhaps, a chance there to unwind...
new adventures
you would find.
Playing every part,
you found in art
to your delight...
but there was fright!
And being in control
to find your goal,
just to be free,
but you would be...
in disarray!
You couldn't win,
they did you in...
say's Joe.
With all your struggles
to survive,
and just to stay alive,
you wouldn't know...
Just where to go
with all your sadness...
Some would call it,
madness!
