Timothy, I like your take on the 102 haiku. I like the unseen mystery. Would not like to see it in person, but I will take your word on it. Awesome win. LINDA

Well said, Sandra! We must add to what we see, with our thoughts and with our heart. It seems everyone has interpreted my tiny poem in slightly different ways ... I like that.

Only the depth of our soul surpasses it, my friend Timotheos, and although its beauty cannot been seen by us, it is always in plain view for the divine! Excellen. I am certain you know your name is Greek and means: " He who honors God"

Excellent points, my friend! And yes I am aware of the Greek origins of my name ... thank you! :) My middle name is Hebrew. I'm assuming you are from Greece?

I love this haiku Timothy..Yes..Its in the depth of one's soul ..its where it cant be seen that true beauty is found.I dont know if you tried already, but you should try to publisg it in Haiku journal or Frogpond..You just nees to google Frogpond haiku society of America submissions...Awesome.

I haven't attempted publishing this particular haiku (I just wrote it the other day) ... but if you think it's good enough, perhaps I might give it a shot. Thanks for your kind words and encouragement as always!

I am reading all these comments, and have found that people are receiving much different interpretations than what I had in mind! (But I actually like your guys' of it more) ... I was attempting to allude to those rainbow-light sea-creatures that can only be found in Mariana's Trench.

I never heard of mariana's trench. Is it that huge parting in the sea? If so, that is a great way to do the haiku.

Yup, you are correct! A place of great mystery that few have seen. Thanks for stopping by, dear Andrea :)

Well done! You searched out of the box for this one, Timothy! So true that its beauty is hidden from our eyes because of its depth. Did you know that once they were debating on using it as a dump for nuclear waste? // paul

Thanks Paul. I was more inspired by the theme "in the deep" versus the picture, actually! I did not know this - but it's sad to hear :(

It is rather intriguing! Especially all those rainbow-like sea-creatures! How funny that some of the most beautiful creatures on earth, are tucked away, so far from our view?
