WHEN WE PONDER THE WRITTEN WORD.
WE MAY HEAR WHAT IS UNHEARD.
WE MAY HEAR PROFOUND THOUGHT.
WE MAY QUESTION THE RELIGION TAUGHT.
WHEN WE SEE WHAT'S NOT IN VIEW.
PECULIAR THINGS ARE SAID OF YOU.
YOU DON'T SAY PROFIT OR SELF PROCLAIMED.
YOU DON'T SEEK FORTUNE OR WORLDLY FAME.
ONCE YOU SAID YOUR VERY OLD.
YOU SIT AND WATCH THE WORLD UNFOLD.
I ASKED YOU WHY DO WE EXIST.
YOU SAID TO FACE TEMPTATION AND RESIST.
WHAT'S THE PURPOSE. SHOULD I BE SURPRISED.
THE ANSWER IS HERE BEFORE YOUR EYES.
TO BE FREE OF TEMPTATION, WILL SET YOU APART
TO VIEW THE WORLD AS A LIVING ART.
