Notes About The Poem

Manipulation

Who holds the sands of time and a key of life in his hand,
manipulating our strings? The one who needs a reprimand!

Masked, the ultimate jester who keeps sun and moon apart.
Selfishly, he couldn't care less if he breaks a lover's heart

I'd turn his impish smile upside down so his lips wear a frown
and expose the jackanapes for what he is... a buffoon, a clown

I've always tried to expose that kind of attitude, Jan. I think David did an excellent job of it in his potd. Thanks, Chick.

Give in to him, Lin, turn that smile upside down. I enjoyed this fun read, my friend. Write On! Bill

I think you meant 'give it to him' and not 'give in.' That is something I'll never do. Thanks for liking this one, Bill.

Hi Lin, I loved this, "keeps sun and moon apart". Excellent description of a manipulator.

They try such dastardly things to please themselves. Thanks for reading and leaving comments for me, Nancy. Have a sweet Sunday.
