Maniacal Madmen

     maniacal madmen
        ply their trade
     naïve congregants
        for years they’ve played

bread crumb tales of purloined verse
        of broken hearts, crushed souls
     miraculous promises mangled
        jilted angels dangled

Oh those bread crumb tales! Far too annoying! This is such a powerful piece with a voice of vehemence dear Gershon, those maniacal madmen playing with innocent hearts need to be taught a lesson ~ for they have crushed souls and hopes.. they are everywhere.. sigh. Such resonating depth you've inked here! And that too in a very concise yet dense manner! I feel for those jilted angels... loved reading this, keep writinnn n shininnn ~ 💫🦋✨

That pretty much hits the nail on the head. When Brother Wolf, when? When do we amend, what madmen won't defend? Is the Constitution at its end?

Gershon, your lovely poem uses vivid imagery and a rhythmic structure to explore themes of deception and manipulation. The "maniacal madmen" suggest individuals who deceive "naïve congregants," highlighting the theme of exploitation in positions of influence or authority. Excellent
