Maniac Love

Once I'd seen him, I was sure there was no escaping. His deep blue eyes pierced mine, As we sat, staring at each other, Lost in our own world. He followed me around everywhere, "I feel very protective of you" He had said And honestly, I didn't care. Day after day I just wondered, About why he had chosen me, After seeing all the beautiful girls That would practically die at his feet. In the end, it didn't matter Because he had chosen me But he had better motive And this, I should have foreseen. "I want to kill you." He said, And I know I should have been scared But instead I just stood there, More in love with him than I cared to declare. I knew he couldn't hurt me, We were in love...or so I believed. He stepped forward And whispered in my ear "Don't worry, it will be quick dear." He sunk his razor-sharp nails and marble white teeth into my skin It should have hurt, But it felt just like bliss. It felt like ice and fire at the same time, Doesn't sound like a good combination But dying like this, felt better than imagination. This was not the end I expected, but one I should have hoped for, Going in your sleep sounded like torture, compared to this everlasting free fall.
