Manger Scene I Perceive Today
Brightening the manger scene is the awesome Christmas story…
Midst technology-apps, it is illumined with varied light’s iridescence
Enlivening the glorious, blissful and jovial prevalence
Of God’s love reaching down to humanity with great victory.
Quickening to life the nativity characters is computer-driven wisdom…
Animated Joseph and Mary converse with guests along peace tidings
The baby smiles, assuring Emmanuel’s presence and blessings
Banishing gloom, welcoming everyone to His heavenly kingdom.
With social media’s time machine, I visit the manger with grateful jubilation
As shepherds express hope midst global problems and crises
Devoid of materialistic greed against reality’s pretenses
Presenting their commitment to spread the good news for mankind’s salvation.
Along modern animation, the angels' praise-songs reverberate sweetly
Their "Hosannas and Hallelujas" echo with their worship
While the sheep, lambs and donkeys agree in grateful partnership
Urging guests to join with their "O come all ye, faithful" rendition triumphantly.
For its spiritual impact, the manger scene’s influence is immortal
Beyond faith’s machination, it endures forever
Declaring God as the Supreme grace-Giver and sin-Forgiver
Inviting us to trust Him and share His gift of life eternal.*
*Romans 6:23 ... The gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.
