Manchac Cypress

I once towered proudly over my siblings, my moss laden arms strained to shadow those who slumber in my shade. My body thick from the years, stretching to the heavens, soaking in its nourishment. From within dense blanket I have harbored miracles of life. I have weathered the seasons, but now I am poised in solitude. Limbs, once strong, wither. I am but a fragile skeleton, my foundation slowly wasting from the brackish flow eroding my knees. My body no longer supporting life as I slowly decay into the marsh.

Salt water intrusion is such a detestable intruder. Sure is some good catfish in Manchac.
