An absolutely amazing poem -- Incredible amount of work!! My goodness, Rhoda, how long did it take to correctly format all of this? I truly am gobsmacked! I agree with Darlene it certainly is very clever. Love it! My very warmest regards as always, Rhoda. :) john

Your two time comments just mean that you really appreciate the work. It took me about 2 hours. I didn't lay out a picture first, just went from a vision in my head. I didn't write the poems first either. I made the woman first then John Gondolf suggested I make her a man so I did. I may try another one soon

All I can say about your poemis this .... I think that this was clever to write your poem this way. I have never seen a poem written this way. Wow! Have a nice day my friend.

Thank you, Darlene. You are sweet. The poetry form is called 'concrete'. You write your words in the shape of what you are writing about. It's a difficult form, that explains the number of views. Try your hand at it. While it's challenging, it's also fun. Thank you for dropping by.

Rhoda, Another poetic format I've never seen. You've put a lot of effort into this. I must say I'm struggling to keep up with all the different types on here, that said, I'm learning loads too . Regards Tom

Thank you, Tom. I'm just getting used to some of the forms myself. On a laptop, at the top right of the main menu is a tab called "forms". It's been very helpful to me.

I cannot say that I am at all familiar with this poetic format, Rhoda. But what I can say is you certainly have put in a tremendous amount of work - wow!! Very well thought out - impressed! My very warmest regards. :) john

My phone is not smart enough when I turn it sideways but I'm thankful you left that comment for others that have brilliant phones. Lol. I was happy to see this poem made it to the top 100. Honored. Thank you very much, James, for helping to get it there and for your encouraging comments

I'm sure you've already discovered this but turn the phone sideways and it should look OK, although, I would be careful viewing this one in public, lol. As PS tweaks there sight quite often the layout of shape poems becomes distorted and has to be adjusted. Don't be surprised if this happens.

Thank you, James. I was a bit dismayed to see how the form comes across on my cell phone, much better when viewed on my laptop, lol. I appreciate your comment and am humbled that you take the time to visit. Thank you again, Dear.

Hi Rhoda, I was commandeered here by Cay Cay and Connie. Remarkable work and form. I guess they said so after reading my lateat which has similar theme but not as clever as some of your innuendo. My first vist to you and its a humdinger. Hugs Jannie

Thank you, Connie. I am humbled. It was a fun project. I'll try another and maybe this time the poetry will be much better. I kind of just wrote it as the shape in my mind dictated without any forethought. I can do better...and I will.

Tripp Avatar
December 22, 2017 at 11:17 PM
Well, Patrick, lemme give you a quick lesson...the poem would be a better read if I had written it ahead of time, but it's easier if you just picture, in your head, the shape you want to accomplish and just ad lib the poem so that you can use the length of words you need, where you need them. Does that make sense? Don't be jealous of the mans physique. His butt is pointy Lol. Thanks for your support. I sincerely appreciate it.

Thanks, Paul. Without the side view, I had no way of distinguishing male from female. A little foresight and maybe I could have given her a dress, but, meh....what fun would that be? Yes. Eve got her man. Lol. Thanks, Paul, for your constant kindness. You are a gem.

Thank you, Vijay. Only wish, in retrospect, that I had written the poem first as I had to ad lib based on the shape in my mind. Ah, well, lesson learned. I'll get a second go at it as John Gondolf wants a man to accompany her...how to make a man look like a man? Going to have to do a side profile, lol. Thanks for your continued support.
