Mama Warned Me About Him
Mama warned me about him
hitting the towns
the woman
and the gin
rolling those sheets back
making ungodly sins
with leaving your heart
filled with nothing but grins
she said little girl
open your eyes once again
and see who loves you
and will be there in the end
for though he stands
tall rich and thin
he'll leave your heart
just as fast once again
and leave you feeling blue in the end
so let's stop play and pretend
that he's just another fellow
awaiting around the bend
that'll not get your heart
and your soul in the end
so it's better off just being friends
my little darling with such sad looking grins
