Mall Walking

Like fruitless wanderers,
mall walkers slap their feet
in a rhythm
that goes nowhere.
Only round and round,
past mega-bucks sales;
pet store puppy mill reject dogs,
a merry-go-round for elderly exercisers.
Fitness for arthritic window shoppers.
Fashion pants do beckon,
'come forth and sally
ye nomads of the modern world.'

Much like robots at times too. The descriptive quality of this write is very good while the thoughts flow seemlessly. Michael

It's air conditioned. They don't make "fashion" pants in my size, and I'd rather see my wife go yard sailing, it's not near as expensive. Observant write. Vince

line 7 pet store puppy mill reject dogs, is very true, no one should buy any dogs from a place like this, buy from a dog kennel. this was a great poem.
