Making a Secret Wish

Sometimes, whenever I make a wish,
I wish I could read your mind,
To listen to what you think about me,
But I’m afraid of what I’d find,
Could I handle the truth, the honesty,
The thoughts kept hidden inside,
Could I handle your secret opinion of me,
The thoughts you keep trying to hide?
So I change my wish, I change my hope,
To something that we can do,
I wish for both of us to do fun stuff,
Fun stuff for just me and you,
Sometimes whenever I make a wish,
I change the wish in my head,
I change it from revealing my insecurity,
To just doing fun stuff instead.
