Makeshift Repair

Newspaper lining
Old soul's old soles had worn holes
Temporary fix

*Interpretation of Raul's "Still Life" photo. To me the lining of the shoes looked like old newspaper.

Hey, congrats on your win with this one. And by the way, I still don't know who left american idol. It went over time and my DVR cut off the end. But on the good side, I could fast forward thru a lot of boring crap and only spent half an hour seeing what I wanted to see! LUv, andrea

Good luck in the contest..I have heard of people using different things to patch a hole until they could do better...I paid to have a pair of boots to be repaired for my grandson that lives with me until I could get him new ones....Eighty-five dollars for repairs...He has won them another year and half though...Sara

good luck with this cute haiku Carolyn. Believe it or not but I remember newspapers lining my boots many years ago, for extra warmth...Margaret

It reminds me of my stepdads' tales of walking with newspapers on their feet!! this is very good. Thanks for your kind words on my ghazal. I was so happy to have done one. Luv, andrea
