Make Me Want To Settle Down
I’ve always struggled with love and feelings, but I want to try for you
I know you’ve been hurt before, but I want to prove I’m the right guy for you
You’re already a princess, but it’s about time you get a crown
I’ve been scared of love most of my life, but you make me want to settle down
Dear Lauren, I’ve slowly developed feelings for you and we’ve been speaking for a while
We’ve both been through a lot of pain, but recently, you’ve been the reason for my smile
You’re more than just a beautiful girl, you also have a great heart
I’ve finally realised I won’t be successful at love if I don’t take part
I know that a girl as amazing as you can have any man that you want
But I’m going to put the effort in and show you why I should stand at the front
I know some of your wounds still need healing, well I plan on repairing the hurt
I dream about waking up next to you while you’re wearing my shirt
Let me be the one to kiss you slow and hold you tight
I promise I’ll never allow you to feel lonely or be cold at night
I’ve not felt like this before, so I’m unsure how to express this right
I hope you’re never insecure or intimidated by other girls, because you’re always the best in sight
Maybe I’ll find the courage to tell you this, I just need to find the right word
I want to make you smile while fixing all of your inside hurt
You’re already a princess, so let me give you a crown
I’ve liked you for a while and you make me want to settle down
