Make Me Feel Pretty Insecure

Are you pleased?
I must ask after your silent observation
From the crown of my head to my feet
This was for you
The length of my shirt
And the belt folded in two
The pants grazing the top of my feet
to tease you
The black lining my eyes
The hard curl of my hair
The moment I stood to reassure myself
I imagined you taking a view
So now, tell me
Is it good enough?
Does my polish suit my skin?
Is the tint of red on my lips inviting?
Let me know
And tomorrow I’ll change my skin
And we can do this again

This is pretty good! What a way to describe insecurity, the feeling of insufficiency.... This is a good poem, thank you for it! MC
