Make It Through the Day
I know times are hard and the storm seems unbearable
Your heart is broken and everything seems irreparable
But you're stronger than you know, so take one step and say
I'm going to make it through the day
Hold your head high even in times of distress
Your good days Will come, even if you can't find them yet
I'm now laughing about times I thought I'd never get over
Life won't give you it, so you have to find your own closure
We all have long days and bad nights
We've all got knocked down and had fights
Getting knocked down is irrelevant, getting back up is all that matters
When people close the book on you, find a way to write your own chapter
The obstacle you're currently facing, soon you will be Standing over
I've learned that some scars can't be Bandaged over
So let them bleed, and the people who really care will accept you
You're better than all the people who gave up and chose to neglect you
The people who didn't get to our future, stayed in the past for a reason
Learn to find comfort with yourself, so you don't stress about people leaving
Learn to dance in the rain, and smile through the storm
Let your smile and charm be your best uniform
