Make a difference

You have to live your life forwards
Even if you can only understand it looking back
Life is a constant test
With the lessons being learned as we travel
It's a long and interesting road
Whether a highway or a path
Whatever road we choose
Needs to match what's in our hearts
Old fashioned family values
Are more vital than before
Being kind and friendly to neighbours
Paying the good forward when possible
Integrity and compassion
Friendship and honesty
Love and light in action
For all the world to see
One person can make a difference
Why not let it be you?
And as you live your life each day
You'll feel good as the reward
For we might not always get it
When we're living day by day
But one day we'll look back
And realise we've built a life that's great
Every heart we light up with kindness
Every soul we touch with joy
Every person we help in small ways
Makes a difference to this world
