Maiden Love
From the tales of old, it has always been known
Young hearts are flaky, full of rush and verve
Lying in wait, lingering at love's gate
To find a soul mate, to heal a heartache
Your quest, a failure, to date
Yet still you confide in fate
Hoping on hope from up above
Where every two hearts are made in love
But you must have paused to ponder
Why chase a thing you do not know?
Gazing into the skies, you wonder
If it will find you, like a besetting snow
O what you'd give to live through the thrill
Of true love's first kiss
They say it's a remedy to all ills
That puts everything in bliss
If cupid ever grant you a gentle borrow
Know this, it will not be as they told
No love can promise a life of no sorrow
For true love confounds as you get old
