Magpie and Crow Thieves
quarters disappear
dimes and nickels gone too
people are accused

magpie and crow laugh
their collection is growing
partners in crime

grandmother sleeps
she has made a mistake
her ring is in nest

So true. They seem to love stealing shiny things. I love this look at these clever creatures Caren. The twin photos you have up remind me of my childhood with my identical twin. We had bonnets like this and had our photo taken in a look alike wagon too in Manhattan Kansas way back when. Thank you for sharing them. Blessings xxoo

That's why it's always wise to keep your rings on your fingers! I had a pet crow for a while when I was a kid. Made the mistake of feeding him white bread. That will kill them because it swells in their stomachs. I was one really sad little kid because I loved that crow!
