Magnetic

A magnet for abuse
In all their forms
Never was sure
Where I was supposed to fit in
Visions of brighter future
The strength to face the present
Courage to step through the past
Counting my blessings
Remembering wrongs never undone
Wishing upon that star
Dreams never achieved
Never truly understanding
Life's greatest mysteries
Why am I here, what do I do
Continue on the path I'm headed
Or change direction
Peace is achievable
Life begins when you believe in yourself.

Sadly your first line sums up events in our society. The magents are the victims whom they normally know. Sad, heartfelt poem Shannon....:)
